Yassir Business / 0→1 · B2B mobility

From a manual process to a self-serve product.

I led product framing, research synthesis and onboarding for Yassir Business: turning account setup handled by Operations into a service companies could configure themselves.

The case in 30 secondsGo to decisions ↓

The problem

Companies depended on Operations to configure employee mobility.

The decision

Keep programme setup predictable, but let funding adapt to local markets.

My contribution

A guided self-serve MVP. I led framing, research synthesis, IA and onboarding; UI was co-designed.

Yassir Business — From a manual process to a self-serve product.
01 / Context

A company needed a person before it could use the product.

Offering rides to employees meant contacting Yassir, submitting information, waiting for validation, arranging funding and configuring policies with a Business Account Manager. Every new company repeated the same operational work.

The point

The opportunity: move standard setup into the product, while keeping people available for exceptions.

02 / Discovery

Autonomy without a crash course in mobility operations.

I spoke with potential business users and the teams onboarding companies manually. I also reviewed Uber, Lyft and Careem to identify the essential jobs: create a programme, define eligibility and spending rules, fund the account, invite employees and follow usage.

Research material and early service structure from the original project.
03 / Product decisions

One predictable setup. Different ways to fund it.

A single payment assumption would not hold across markets. Methods, currencies and transaction rules varied. I separated the stable administrator journey from the funding configuration that needed to adapt locally.

Keep the core stable

Programmes, people, schedules and spending rules stay recognisable across markets.

Let the payment layer adapt

Funding choices reflect what is actually available in the company’s market.

Payment setup: the administrator sees funding choices within the guided service configuration.
04 / Experience

Turn a long configuration task into a series of decisions.

The guided flow made progress visible and introduced one decision at a time. Administrators could define travel days and time slots, then pause with “Save & Logout”. Payment came before inviting employees, so the service was funded before people were asked to use it.

Set the rulesConfigure fundingOrganise people
Trip scheduling: policy settings become concrete choices about when employees can travel.
05 / Outcome & ownership

A product model the business could operate.

The MVP moved standard programme configuration into a self-serve experience. Internal teams could focus on exceptions and more complex organisations. I owned framing, research synthesis, information architecture and onboarding; the final UI was co-designed with Yassine and Adel.

The end of onboarding makes the next useful actions explicit: programmes, payments and people.
The point

A global product can feel consistent without assuming the same infrastructure everywhere.

Evidence & scope

Outcome described qualitatively. No validated post-launch conversion or time-saving figure is published for this project.
